Well folks, I've been here for a long time. 4 years now, in fact. But it's time that I left to persue other
endeavors. Fear not. For I have begun writing for a new website. The site is called http://www.gcomplex.com and I will be posting articles regularly under my name, which if you didn't know, is Adam. Thank you to everyone
who helped make The Video Game Headquarters as successful as it was. I have definitely noticed the highs and lows over
the years, and it is clear that I haven't been updating as often as I used to. But over these 4 years, I have noticed
my writing become more professional, thanks both to the experience I got here, and to a wonderful professor I had in college.
Wow, in college. And to think that I started this site as a sophomore in highschool. I'm leaving a lot of memories
here. I will keep the site up as long as tripod will have it, and who knows? Maybe I'll find someone to take over it
for me, or better yet. Maybe a few years down the road, I'll be back and ready to make The Headquarters even better
than it ever was.
Updated for October 18, 2005
I was perusing my fan fictions page when I noticed that the email address there is way out of date. I changed it
and apologize to anyone who may have sent a story to that email address.
Updated for January 24, 2005
Sigh, here we go again. Anyone who still visits this site (all two of you) have probably noticed my absence for
the past half year. I really have no excuse, so let's just get right back into it. I have a few changes that I've
been thinking about. I want to add a Features page to the site which will contain articles about things happening in
the videogame world. I'm probably gonna put up a story that I wrote in the Fan Fiction section, but I'm still thinking
about that one...in fact, I thought about it and decided against it. Oh well, as for right now, I posted a review of
Resident Evil 4 in the favorite game section.
Updated for June 2, 2004
Smallest update ever. I added a banner for Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain...I swear I'll have a real update soon.
Updated for May 1, 2004
I put in a new link in the favorite links section. Hopefully I will have a new review up soon.
Updated for April 14, 2004
Added a review for The House of the Dead III in the Xbox review page. I tried something different with scoring
the game, so see what you think and email me with comments. I'm probably gonna use that system for every review for
now on.
Updated for April 2, 2004
Added the latest info of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children to the News/Gossip/Opinions page.
Updated for March 24, 2004
Added a review in the Nintendo page for Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes.
Updated for March 19, 2004
Added a review for R-Type Final in the PS2 reviews page. Also added a very lengthy, but well written letter from
Shirl into the mailbag. The letter explains and disects everything in Final Fantasy X and X-2. A word of warning,
however, as EVERYTHING is spoiled in the letter, so if you haven't played it, DO NOT READ IT. There you've been warned,
so don't complain to me. Look forward to another update in the near future.
Updated for March 12, 2004
This is just a small update to inform everyone that you can no longer reach me at my old email address. You can
now reach me at woody_742@yahoo.com. I'll have another update soon.
Updated for February 19, 2004
So I was talking to my friend today, and he brought up my Resident Evil 0 review. I was like, "Yeah, man.
That game sure did suck." To which he responded, "Yeah, but a 3 is a score that you would give to an Army Men game."
At first, I defended my opinion, but then I actually thought about it and he was right. So there you have it, I bumped
up Resident Evil 0's overall score from a "3" to a "5." My opinion still doesn't change about the game, and I still
don't recommend it, but for what it's worth, there's the new score.
Updated for February 5, 2004
I finally got the Xbox reviews page started. This month, you'll find reviews in the Xbox page for Halo and
Max Payne 2. See you soon.
Update for January 8, 2004
Happy New Year everybody. This is Jay. I know, long time no see. I
have put up a review for Mario Kart: Double Dash in the Nintendo Reviews section so go check it out.
Updated for December 11, 2003
I finally added a review for Resident Evil 0 at the top of the Resident Evil page. I also updated the mailbag which
was a long time overdue. There are three new emails and some of them are from as long ago as July. I'm sorry it
took so long to respond.
Updated for December 4, 2003
Added a review for Dragon Ball Z Budokai in the Nintendo reviews section. P.S. send fan fictions.
Updated for December 2, 2003
There is a new favorite game. Enjoy.
Updated for October 30, 2003
Happy Halloween! This is just another maitenance update. I separated all of the reviews into either the Nintendo
Review page, PS1/PS2 Review page, and the new Xbox (gasp) Review page. Yes, I now own Xbox. No reviews in it yet,
but it'll happen soon enough. The old Game Reviews page will be gone soon, but until then you can ignore it. Now
the only thing I need to think of is what to do with those two lonely Dreamcast reviews...Oh yeah, send Fan Fictions
now!!!
Updated for October 24, 2003
Just moved some stuff around. The Wind Waker review is moved to the Everthing Zelda page. Fixed some typos.
Nothing too important.
Updated for October 22, 2003
Added a new game to the Favorite Games section to finally dethrone Wind Waker. Wind Waker's review has yet to be
moved because of difficulty I had with the computer, but I'll get it out of there as soon as possible. In the mean time,
the new favorite game is featured above the Wind Waker review in the Favorite Game section. I also added a fan fiction
section which is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time. See the rules in the section and please don't
be shy. I really want the fan fictions to be a success, but that can't happen without your help.
Updated for October 13, 2003
In the first of what I hope to be many updates, I have added an About Me page so that you can get to know me better.
I have also added some news about Half-Life 2 in the news/gossip/opinion page.
Updated for October 10, 2003
Yes, I realized that it has been a very long time since my last update. Since then I have recieved many e-mails
that have gone unanswered and new games that haven't been reviewed. Even though my absence has been long, through it
all I have recieved many e-mails from both you and tripod that my site is one of the most popular. This has given me
the push that I have needed to get back into my site. This small update is just to ensure you that in the coming
weeks, there will be many updates to my site. Thank you all for the support that you have given me. In short,
I'm back.
Updated for May 12, 2003
I added my top ten favorite games of all time to the Final Fantasy page. I'm not sure why it ended up there, but
I'm not paid to think. Wait, I'm not paid at all...hmm. Anyway, the top ten list is in bright red, so its hard
to miss. Also, I encourage you to email me with you questions, comments, and threats. Enjoy. And yes, this
was just a filler because I have no new games to review, are you happy now?
Updated for April 15, 2003
Added a review for Wind Waker in the favorite game section. Moved the ZOE2 review with the other PS2 reviews.
Updated for March 23, 2003
Wind Waker comes out tomorrow. Hooray for me. (I preordered!) Anyway, I added a new favorite game.
I moved Metroid Prime's review into the game reviews section. From now on whenever there is a new favorite game, I'll
move the old one into the game reviews. Also, I included the shark monsters in the Resident Evil monster list.
Thanks to the person that reminded me about them.
Updated for March 5, 2003
Added two pics of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I also put a preview of Wind Waker and a review of
Ocarina of Time/Master Quest. This is all in the Zelda page. Enjoy.
Update for March 2, 2003
Jay here.I know you guys haven't heard from me in a while but I'm back. I added a small inside scoop to the
Final Fantasy page about FFX-2. Check it out. BTW if ya guys ever gotta ask me a question, send me an e-mail. I am shimmy510@hotmail.com
Updated for February 16, 2003
Sorry about the lack of updates, chalk it up to laziness on my part. This time I have added a new favorite game.
I moved the Resident Evil Remake to Resident Evil page. I also added reviews for Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
and Star Fox Adventures. Those can be found in the game reviews section. I haven't gotten any mail, so motivation
to work on my site is thinning fast. I'll keep up my work, but now you know the reason why I haven't been updating as
often as I used to. Thanks to anyone that visits my site. Feel free to drop me a line.
Updated for January 3, 2003
Happy New Year and a belated Merry Christmas for those of you who celebrate. I am infinitely sorry about how long
it took for me to update, but I bring with me now quite a large addition. I am happy to announce that my site will now
cover Nintendo Gamecube as well. I have added a review (finally) for the Resident Evil remake. You'll find that
in the favorite games section. When its time is through in there, I'll move it to the Resident Evil page. I will
also be adding some new monsters to my Resident Evil monster checklist. I added reviews in the review section for Super
Smash Bros. Melee and Super Mario Sunshine for Gamecube. I also added in there reviews for Rygar and James Bond 007:
Nightfire for Playstation 2. Eventually I will add a review for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords.
I just need to wait until I get a chance to play Four Swords because as far as I can tell, A Link to the Past hasn't changed
at all since the Super NES. The last thing is a new letter in the mailbag. Oh well, I went on long enough.
Enjoy the update and see you later.
Updated for November 28, 2002
Happy Turkey Day! To celebrate, I have an extra big update for you. I've added a new game of the month and
I reviewed Red Faction 2 in the reviews section. I also added to the Zelda page the top ten worst things that can possibly
happen in an RPG. Finally, someone donated some new cheats for Conkers Bad Fur Day. You'll find those in the Tips
and Cheats section. Have a great day and enjoy the update.
Updated for November 8
Yet another addition to the mailbag. This time it's about why I don't have music on my site and why I don't have
any info on bosses for the Gamecube version of Resident Evil. I've been thinking about it and I decided to make my Resident
Evil page truly complete, so I'm asking you guys to come up with a review for the Gamecube version. It must follow
the guidelines set by my other reviews (i.e. contain ratings of 1-10 on graphics, sound, controls etc.) Just e-mail
me your review and I'll put up the best one. Thanks in advance.
Updated for October 29
Small update. Added one thing to the mailbag. If you never played Final Fantasy X but plan on doing so, don't
read the very first letter and response...it gives away alot about the storyline. The new mail is about Final Fantasy
X-2.
Updated for October 23
Small update. Just added something I found out about in the news and gossip sections...its very interesting,
you should check it out. I might have another update soon, I don't know...it really depends on how lazy I am.
Updated for October 12, 2002
Jay added a review for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 at the very bottom of the reviews section. I added a review for
Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny in the favorites section. I also updated the news section.
Updated for September 28...again
I added a guest book at the bottom of the page. Feel free to sign it.
Updated for September 28
Ok, first thing is first. I'm tired of this stupid nickname crap. I'm going to use my real name from now
on. I, Demon Child, shall henceforth be known as Adam. My fellow site worker person, Master Furo, is Jay.
Now that that is taken care of, the next order of business is that I'm getting rid of the Anime page because this is a video
game site...not Anime...and Jay hasn't updated that page since he put it up. Thirdly, I have actually gathered the money
to purchase Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny and am in the process of beating it. Expect it in the favorite games section
in about a week.
Updated for September 21
I did a strategy for the Dance Club part of Conker's Bad Fur Day for Nintendo 64. It's in the startegies
section (obviously). That was a request from someone named Travis. Thanks for the request...as for the
rest of you, START REQUESTING!!!!!!! I can't work on the site if I have nothing to do on it. Because
to be honest, I just bought a new car, and my insurance is through the roof, so I don't have the money to buy many games anymore,
which in turn means I can't review any games and that was the main reason I made this site. It is sad, but I may
not have another review of a NEW game until after the holidays. I guess I'll just have to make due with reviewing old
games. Oh well. See you next update.
Updated for September 2
I updated the News page. This is not so much an update as it is a request. I have decided that I might
actually do a strategy(GASP!!!!). Send me some emails requesting games to do a strategy for.
Updated for August 31
Finally started the mailbag. Please send me some email so I can fill the page up. So far, I only got three
letters that were worth posting. So far in the mailbag, I give my opinion of Everquest, I tell why there
wasn't a Final Fantasy Tactics review, and my friend Craig decides to be an ass. Also I gave Master Furo
an Anime page because he wouldn't stop bugging me. (Demon Child does not have ANYTHING to do with
the Anime page)
Updated for August 13
Ignore the last update. The link did not work. Now, the Temple of the Forest link works in the link section.
Updated for August 9
Added a link to Temple of the Forest, which is a good Zelda site. The link can be found in my Zelda page at the
top, and in the links page. Also, there is a good chance that I won't be able to update for a while.
Updated for August 7
Finally completed the Resident Evil page. GO ME!!!
Also, I, Demon Child am pretty much the only person working on the site anymore. I might get help every now and
then, but not much. If it is a long time between updates, that is why.
Updates
Updates for July,22,2002
Special Guest author G-Dog (me) posted a review for Final Fantasy Tactics. Don't judge me please, it's my first
review ever. Thank you.
Updated for July,10,2002
Its been a while, but I finally got chance to update. For some reason, my computer's been screwing up recently,
so bear with me.
I added a review for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within DVD in that section. I also
added a review of Time Splitters in the Game Reviews section. There is also a new favorite game. Speaking of which,
I decided not to use the purchase guide anymore. If a game is in that section, then it is worth buying, end of descusion.
For the record, don't expect anything in the Game Strategies any time soon. I am way too damn lazy to do something
like that but you never know...
Oh well, see you next update.
Okay. Here's the lowdown: I made this site to help you make the right choices in purchasing video games, helping you play
video games, and, in rare instances, give you cheats or codes to help you win. It is my hope that I can share with you my
enjoyment, and make sure that you don't buy a crappy game. If I bought a game that I thought sucked, I'll tell you about
it so you don't suffer like I did. Also I'll make recommendations about good games. I, Demon Child, am going to be rewiewing
Playstation, Playstation 2, Nintendo 64, and Dreamcast. My pals Master Furo and Smokey will be helping me. Master
Furo will cover Playstation 2 and Nintendo 64 and Smokey will cover Nintendo 64 and Playstation.
This site will cover Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, and Dreamcast. I'll try to update once a week. E-mail me
at demonknight150@aol.com, if you have something IMPORTANT to say. Make sure what you have to say is in the subject. If
I don't think it is important, then I'll delete it without opening it. Sorry, but I don't want junk mail. If there is no
subject, I'll delete it.
